Job Description

SUMMARY

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Requests background checks for new hires
  • Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate and timely enrollment, updates, and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, staying current with updates and changes.
  • Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns with company policies.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of all data
  • Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers, fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Maintain knowledge of HR related laws and guidelines
  • Provides administrative support to the HR department
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four year college degree or 5+ years experience
  • Management skills and ability to deal with people
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
  • Excellent organization & time management skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skill
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to self-start
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
