Job Description

Connect has partnered with our client seeking an HR Business Partner!

Location: Olive Branch, MS

Position Type: TEMP

Position Scope:

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing leadership team to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding of both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing issues, grievances, and concerns promptly and effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and implementing development plans.
  • Identify training and development needs, designing and delivering programs that enhance employee skills, safety awareness, and career growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, OSHA regulations, and company policies, particularly those related to manufacturing and safety practices.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance on restructuring, role definition, and change management strategies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and improve HR processes, such as retention, engagement, and productivity.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing coaching and guidance on HR policies, practices, and conflict resolution.
  • Participate in or lead HR projects aimed at improving efficiency, engagement, and the overall employee experience within the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, OSHA regulations, and safety standards related to manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
