Job Description

Overview:

The HR Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, HRIS, training, recruitment and hiring, benefits management, labor relations, and employment equity programs. You will advise and counsel management and employees on HR issues while collaborating with the HR Director on delivering HR goals. The HRG is a leader that utilizes a systematic and principle-centered management approach to maximize results in fulfilling our Mission, Vision, and Values.

  • Facilitates and provides training to workforce (Orientation, Paycom, Benefits, FMLA, and other related development programs).
  • Administrator and super user for HRIS Paycom system and reports management.
  • Maintains OSHA logs for all facilities and processes work-related injury claims
  • Processes work-related injury claims and follows up with injured workers as necessary.
  • Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations.
  • Interviews job applicants to fill job openings.
  • Partners with employees and management to interpret and communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Manages and coordinates company events and employee recognition programs.
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Organizes and manages annual online open enrollment communications and election process.
  • Manages and oversees Payroll for all companies, weekly and bi-weekly
  • 401k administration
  • Supervision responsibilities.
  • Some travel may be required between facilities.
  • Other related duties as needed

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Labor relations experience preferred but not required
  • Some travel may be required between facilities.
  • Employees is frequently required to talk and listen.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of this position, meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards, with or without accommodation.
