As a Hydrology and Special Projects Trainee, you will play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various water management systems. You will learn to execute tasks related to irrigation systems, stormwater management, water storage, pumping, low voltage lighting, and other specialized projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn specialized, challenging, and in-demand skills in a dynamic industry.

What You’ll do:

• Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, including drip irrigation, sprinkler systems, and water-efficient technologies.
• Support the implementation of stormwater management systems, such as rain gardens, permeable pavement, and drainage systems.
• Assist in the installation and troubleshooting of water pumping systems, ensuring efficient water distribution and utilization.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to install and maintain low voltage lighting systems for outdoor environments.
• Contribute to special projects related to water management, including water runoff monitoring, erosion control, and more.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your team members.
• Learn to use specialized equipment and tools required for hydrological and environmental projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project documentation, maintenance logs, and inventory records.

Great Candidates Have:

• High school diploma
• Strong mechanical aptitude and/or willingness to learn new technical skills.
• Some experience in construction or landscaping fields is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to achieve project goals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on precision and accuracy in task execution.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
