Role Overview:

As a Kentucky Furniture Mart Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing furniture and mattresses that best suit their needs and preferences. You will provide exceptional customer service, demonstrate product knowledge, and strive to meet or exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Assistance: Greet customers, understand their requirements, and guide them through the selection process, offering recommendations and advice on furniture and mattress options.

2. Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the features, specifications, and benefits of all furniture and mattress products in the store. Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and industry trends.

3. Sales Generation: Actively engage with customers to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or accessories. Utilize persuasive selling techniques to close sales and achieve individual and team sales goals.

4. Customer Service: Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer. Address any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.

5. Order Processing: Assist customers with placing orders, processing payments, and arranging delivery or pickup of furniture and mattress purchases. Ensure accuracy in order details and follow up on delivery schedules.

6. Merchandising: Assist with merchandising tasks such as arranging displays, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor to enhance the visual appeal of the store.

7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve store objectives, share product knowledge and sales techniques, and contribute to a cohesive and supportive work environment.

8. Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative duties such as processing paperwork, updating customer records, and managing inventory levels as required.

Qualifications:

- Previous retail sales experience is a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to assist and satisfy customers.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
