Position Summary
The Injection Process Technician positions requires that he/she be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace. Highly motivated, assures that injection molding machines and system as set and running to quality standards to meet the challenges of production goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist with executing and administering operational strategies that meet or exceed objectives in productivity, quality, and customer service.
· Check production process against documented process, which includes all support equipment
· Perform set ups on single and two shots tools
· Load programs install EOAT and troubleshoot for robotic/automation systems.
· Perform set-up and troubleshoot for injection molding.
· Perform start-up and shut-down procedures.
· Utilize in cavity mold sensors for troubleshooting and matching processes.
· Verify setting are accurate.
· Inspect parts in accordance with establish quality plans.
· Follow machine shut down procedures as specified
· Plans and coordinate with the Production Manage and Supervisor to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
· Supports and interacts with other departments and department management to ensure compliance with all quality, environmental, health & safety standards during production.
· Assist with accountability for key performance metrics to include equipment and labor efficiencies
· Provides guidance to production associates to ensure scorecard objectives are met.
· Facilitates training, employee relations and performance and communicates results to the Production Manager
· Capable of guiding and managing production associate’s performance and ensuring that there is a collaborative effort towards production and organization objectives
· Able to assist or effectively take on the role of the Production Supervisor when needed
· Ability to recommend mold modifications and repair to improve operating efficiency and control costs.
· Other assigned job duties.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION
Education/Certification Required
High school diploma or GED
Education/Certification Desired
· Bachelor’s Degree
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
3+ years relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Desired
· 2+ years experience as supervisor is a plus
· Experience - preferably plastics and/or automotive background
· Strong understanding of strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facility
· Knowledge of OSHA standards
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Proven leadership capabilities
· Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform data analysis/statistical modeling
· Excellent troubleshooting skill

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
