Inside Sales - Industrial

We are looking for an Inside Salesperson for our organization who would be responsible for offering support on technical issues relating to pumps, seals, and industrial applications with existing sales team, as well as providing timely and accurate technical evaluation of products to aid in increasing the sales for the Outside Sales team.

They will have a keen understanding of the company’s product offerings and the ability to support projects while communicating our value to the Mining, Power, Industrial and Municipal Markets.


It will be their mission to support the CH Spencer growth and deliver excellent quality service. They will report directly to the Lead Inside Sales Manager with respect to the following:


  • Answering the telephone, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information as needed
  • Communicating with customers by telephone, and email; providing quotations, entering orders, and expediting information
  • Communicating with vendors regarding technical information, quotations, purchasing and expediting
  • Following up on sales, leads and quotations
  • Assisting in the development of accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features
  • Maintaining and improving the quality of results by following standards as well as recommending improvements to policies and procedures
  • Keeping job knowledge up to date by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities
  • Keeping management informed of vital activities, including timely preparation of reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience requirements


  • Sales experience is preferred, but not required
  • Experience in direct sales to end users is given high priority
  • Prior usage of SalesForce as a CRM is a plus
  • Experience in Industrial applications and OEM markets would be a great advantage
  • Knowledge of Atlas Copco sales structure and strategy is a plus
  • Position may require some additional related training or advanced education; willing to provide training to the right individual

Other requirements


  • Great professional verbal and written communication skills and a strong result-oriented work ethic is requested
  • Experience in Pumping systems or Engineering degree are a plus
  • Strong listening and presentation abilities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in working with the Microsoft Office Suite, Company Order Entry Software and Vendor Software
  • Must have great attention to detail and be able to follow precise instructions
  • Must be able to pass background and substance abuse screening tests
