Overview of Position

As a Benefits Account Associate at Fournier, you will be responsible for supporting collaboration with Employee Benefit Brokers/Consultants on the development and execution of client-centered strategies. The role supports the ongoing management of a book of business and activities surrounding new business acquisition. The Account Associate serves as the direct link between the agency and its clients, servicing existing benefit inquiries and helping to resolve day-to-day client needs.

  • Assist in activities related to the ongoing development and execution of Employee Benefits overall market strategy.
  • Assist with development of key market strategies based on market factors such as existing competitor positioning and opportunity areas for growth across small, mid-size and large markets.
  • Assist with development, execution and tracking of Key Performance Indicators within the Employee Benefit division.
  • Assist in development of regular sales tracking activities, including prospective clients, ongoing communication, sales proposals and disposition of accounts.
  • Assist in development of cross-functional sales opportunity matrix to track prospective revenue opportunities across Employee Benefits, Commercial, Personal and Executive Benefits lines of business.
  • Serve as liaison among cross-functional departments to help ensure consistent implementation of market and organizational processes, procedures and workflows.
  • Research, review and compile information on the development of Value-Add suite of services provided to Employee Benefits clients.
  • For renewing and new business, ensure census information has been sourced correctly, obtain quotes and perform analysis
  • Assist in management and ongoing delivery of Value-Add professional services for Employee Benefit clients.
  • Ensure AMS integrity of data for Employee Benefit operations. Assist in regular auditing of data and client information.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of carrier contact and industry network associates.
  • Assist team with miscellaneous duties and projects.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensing Requirements:

  • College degree strongly preferred.
  • Insurance industry background preferred
  • Resident Life & Health/Disability License, per state requirements.
  • May be required to obtain P&C insurance license.

Professional Experience & Skills:

  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of citizen and agency staff.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher).
  • Necessary skill-set to learn, adopt and effectively use AMS software
  • Good listening skills and attention to detail.

  • Creative problem solver and team-player, maintaining a solution-based mindset and ability to take diverse directions from multiple individuals
