Job Description

The Inventory Control Manager leads day to day inventory control activities for resupply central distribution.
  • Responsible for compiling, assessing, and presenting comprehensive inventory reporting/data showing patterns, inventory needs, and availability to Leadership
  • Works collectively with team members and Leadership to resolve inventory, ensuring business targets are achieved
  • Establishes and maintains backup sourcing procedures for high-demand items
  • Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need and proactively seeks solutions to avoid shortages
  • Sense of urgency in communicating possible shortages or providing important insight
  • Provides actionable inventory reports/data to leadership on a daily
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with Vendors
  • Partners with Purchasing Department to establish proper cadences to hit purchasing goals
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and orders placed
  • Manages and maintains inventory process/system
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory leveraging remote resources
  • Assists with physical inventory audits as permitted
  • Ability to operate warehouse tools and forklift (desirable)
  • Ability to lift boxes over 40 LBS if work activity demands it
Requirements:
Education and Ecperience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a business-related field (Preferred)
  • 5-7 years years of demonstrable Inventory Control experience in warehouse environment (Required)
  • Experience in high volume shipment and large volume SKU across multiple sites (Required)
  • Experience in high volume revenue organization (Required)
  • Experience with inventory management and shipping software (Required)
  • Experience in AS400/IBMi is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel and ability to use various tools independently
  • Ability to generate reports using Excel to provide daily insight and recommendations to Management
  • Organization, planning, and strong communication skills
  • Strong, background in inventory control procedures
  • Highly process oriented-with experience in creating SOPs (desirable)
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%) to different domestic locations (required)
  • Work across several organizations fostering a culture of trust and respect, creating strong working relationships with Management
  • Experience supporting multi-location warehousing and distribution, helping support a performance culture
  • Microsoft BI/Tableau knowledge desirable
