The Opportunity
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be responsible to clearly communicate requirements from the business partners to our New Business Policy Documents group. There may be instances where you will be asked to assist in the software testing of our product, Eloquence. Your role is closely integrated within a collaborative team of highly experienced technical analysts.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct intermediate elicitation and documentation of business requirements through interviews, surveys, and workshops:
- Create and maintain detailed requirement documents, user stories, and process flows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain and document functional and non-functional needs.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the customer's business processes, systems, and functions.
- Intermediate understanding of process modelling including the use of appropriate modelling tools, techniques, and standards.
- Experience with business analysis best practices, policies, procedures, and processes with the ability to adapt them as appropriate to meet the specific needs.
- Translate business needs into comprehensive requirements.
- Break down features into user stories with acceptance criteria and review with the development team.
- Manage relationships with business partners, teammates, and other members of the IT organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Intermediate understanding of business analysis concepts and methodologies.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work on requirements with limited supervision.
Ideal Qualifications
Agile experience is a plus.
