Position Summary

At CFNA, we value providing superior customer service and are committed to the successful operation of our information technology systems. We are seeking a qualified IT help desk technician to assist our users with questions and problems concerning computer systems, hardware, and software. The technician will work with users remotely and in person, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency. The IT Help Desk Specialist is responsible for analysis, design, testing, installation, deployment and maintenance of client and information systems. Standout candidates will be excellent problem-solvers with outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstations
  • Manage the helpdesk and answer phone calls as needed
  • Help Desk logging, tracking, and ticket resolution
  • Workstation imaging, deployment, troubleshooting and refreshes.
  • Active directory administration (user and group management)
  • Virtual desktop and thin client support
  • Hardware configuration and installation
  • Set-up and maintain documentation per established processes and procedures
  • Share in weekly on-call support rotation
  • Windows 10/11 setup, support & deployment
  • Configuration and deployment of Dell desktops, laptops, and thin clients

Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software
  • The ability to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions
  • Patient, friendly demeanor with a great aptitude for listening and learning
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Microsoft and Azure active directory administration
  • Microsoft Office 365 suite deployment and configuration
  • Ability to handle a fast paced working environment
  • Ability to be a self-starter and ask for advice
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle competing priorities
  • Exhibit the ability to interact professionally with others in person, by phone, by email and chat, at multiple levels of leadership and from a variety of departments

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the recognized equivalent in work experience

Preferred:

  • 1 – 3 plus years of related experience
  • Financial Industry experience
  • Using scripting techniques to schedule and automate administration tasks
  • Passion for problem-solving and customer service
  • Tech savvy, with experience working in a tech-related field
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of technical issues
  • Team-oriented mindset with an openness to constructive feedback
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems
  • Experience working as an IT help desk technician or in a similar customer support role


Monday – Friday from 8:00 to 4:30

There are no weekends, but participation in the on-call rotation, which may include issues that arise during off-hours and weekends, is required.

This role is primarily based in person, but there's the possibility of remote days depending on demonstrated performance

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
