Position: Housemen

As a Housemen, you’ll be utilizing your skills and experience to work as part of our cleaning and repairs team. Your day-to-day will likely consist of maintaining cleaning common areas per hotel standards promptly. As well as helping to deliver items to guest rooms, collect trash and linens from the housekeeping team. Typically you’ll arrive at the hotel in the morning and work until mid-afternoon. or mid-afternoon into the night, depending on the desired shift.

Duties

Please note this is not an extensive list and some duties and responsibilities may change or may not be included.

  • Creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests.
  • Clean and maintain the hotel's public areas including the lobby, the fitness center, the pool, the hallways, as well as the patio areas, the parking lot, and the lawn.
  • Shoveling sidewalks and clearing guest windshields.
  • Aiding the chief engineer in maintenance projects.
  • Aiding housekeeping in cleaning and preparing guest rooms.
  • Repair items in guest rooms as needed.
  • Replenishing guest supplies such as toiletries or linens upon request.
  • Working closely with the front desk to coordinate cleaning projects and accommodate guest needs.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Check for proper operation of all guest room equipment including televisions, cooling system, hairdryers, etc. Ensure all is in good working order before each day. Report any deficiency to the appropriate personnel to repair.
  • Ensure all guest rooms are secure at all times. This includes checking for proper operation of guest room doors and locks.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner and ensure appropriate action is taken. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
