Junior Data Insights Analyst

Location: Must live in EST / FL preferred

Reports to: Senior Data Insights Manager


Position Summary:

Trulieve is in search of a Junior Data Insights Analyst that can assist with analyzing in depth market trends, synthesize multiple reports to gain overall situational comprehension and report consolidated findings to business decision makers. The candidate will be working with senior executives and must have the ability to translate insights into strategic actionable business decisions based on the data and analysis. The position will require the candidate to be technically proficient with a high degree of business acumen.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monitoring business performance and proactively identify opportunities to grow sales and / or margin based on trends in category performance & patient buying patterns - some sample analyses: price elasticity, AB testing, basket overview / composition

  • Responsible for collecting, modeling and analyzing data for the purpose of understanding the business needs

  • Conducts historical sales and retailer reporting and data analysis to build business models and reports that provide insights for strategic decisions

  • Uses internal, market, and retailer data to conduct analysis that shapes decisions and provides solutions for actionable business insights

  • Presents data-driven narrative to executive team, including but not limited to:

  • Identifies opportunity & appropriate context

  • Potential business impact (sales / margin impact + operational considerations)

  • Plans to test & measure results

  • Simplifies complex problems into working models that increase understanding of underlying business fundamentals in topics ranging across customer, product, finance, and production

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., data engineering / science, production, marketing, Ecomm, brand, finance)

  • Stays abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to proactively identify market opportunities and threats


Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Retail Data Insights

  • Proven analytical background

  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis combined with understanding of key performance indicators specific to retail and associated customer behaviors.

  • Must have experience with a large volume retailer preferably within CPG

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytical tools (SQL, Alteryx, Excel) and data presentation tools (PowerBI and / or Tableau)

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of retail operations, with a focus on product lifecycle management, pricing strategies, and promotional tactics.

  • Analytical Expertise: Ability to perform sophisticated analysis and modeling to derive insights from complex datasets.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; expectation that majority of findings are presented in powerpoint

  • Team Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment, preferably within a retail or consumer products setting.


Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
