Description:

We are seeking a Lab Support Coordinator with at least four years of related laboratory or phlebotomy processing experience or lead experience to fill a position at our Emory Hospital Midtown location.

Shift: Evening/Night Shift, 8:30pm – 7:00am (Monday – Thursday)

The primary responsibilities of the Lab Support Coordinator are to supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff that registers, collect, and process laboratory specimens for in-house or referral testing; maintain supplies and equipment; monitors operation and productivity, prepares work schedules, trains new staff and students, maintains competencies, and oversees computer functions and prepare monthly quality/safety management reports to submit information for regulatory audits.

The incumbent will act as a liaison to other healthcare departments for problem resolution and is expected to project a professional image through formal and informal communication to internal and external customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Four years of related laboratory or phlebotomy processing experience preferred or lead experience.
Phlebotomy certificate preferred if applicable.
