Job Description

As a Lead Customer Service Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our client's mission of delivering exceptional service and solutions to clients. Whether addressing inquiries, resolving issues, or offering expert guidance on products and services, you will play a pivotal role within a growing organization. Work model:

  • On-Site
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What you will do:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
  • Provide accurate information about seed products, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
  • Assist customers with production selection, offering recommendations
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a timely manner
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring details are recorded correctly in the system
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders by coordinating with logistics with both internal warehouse team members and transportation vendors
  • Learn and stay informed about seed products
  • Educate customers about seed product features and benefits
  • Build strong relationships with customers
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback within systems
  • Generate reports and compile data within spreadsheets
  • Create and maintain electric and physical filing systems
  • Act as a key member of the team by assisting management and office personnel with various projects and tasks

What you will need to be successful:

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, or commensurate experience
  • Previous leadership experience as a supervisor or manager required
  • Experience in customer service or sales support
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working in multiple systems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, organize, and manage time effectively
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to take direction from management
  • Skilled at training others
  • Strong team-player mentality
  • Experience mentoring and supervising others
  • Agricultural industry experience preferred
