Job Title: Lead IT Logistics Specialist

Location: North Monroe (onsite)

Travel: 20-30% travel expected


ROLE SUMMARY:

The Lead IT Logistics Specialist is a vital role for the IT Department as we continue to grow. This position is based out of the greater Tallahassee Area. The Lead IT Logistics Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of the IT equipment and devices inventory, the accurate and timely tracking of the IT assets, the successful coordination and execution of the IT projects, and the proper repair and maintenance of the IT devices. The Lead IT Logistics Specialist will also supervise and train a team of IT Logistics Specialists and report to the IT Logistics Manager. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to managing purchasing and provisioning support under the direction of the IT Logistics Manager, the Lead IT Logistics Specialist will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of IT equipment. This includes developing and maintaining logistics plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety procedures, and maintaining accurate records using logistic software. Responsibilities also involve vendor management, negotiating contracts, evaluating transportation providers, and identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance logistics operations. Providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and resolving shipment issues are also key aspects of this role.


The Lead IT Logistics Specialist will perform the following duties:

  • Warehouse Management
  • Manage the inventory of IT equipment and devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, scanners, routers, switches, servers, and accessories, and ensure they are stored, labeled, and organized properly.
  • Track the assets using barcode scanners, RFID tags, and software tools, and update the records and reports regularly, and ensure they are accurate and complete.
  • Organize the projects involving the procurement, deployment, installation, configuration, maintenance, and disposal of IT equipment and devices, and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and according to the specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinate repairing devices that are damaged, malfunctioning, or obsolete, and ensure they meet the quality and security standards, and follow the best practices and procedures.
  • Setting up and Imaging equipment and preparing them for the needs in Tickets and Projects
  • Work with vendors and internal departments to facilitate orders, deliveries, & installations
  • Manager Reporting
  • Supervise and train a team of IT Logistics Specialists, assign them tasks and schedules, and monitor their performance and progress.
  • Report to the IT Logistics Manager and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement and escalate any issues or problems that arise.
  • Ordering IT Equipment for Projects, Replacements, and Tickets, as needed, through SAP and confirming the item was received and delivered where intended.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent work experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated expertise in relation to Asset Management software
  • Previous experience in team management with strong leadership and team management skills, and able to motivate and mentor others, and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Knowledgeable with relevant IT equipment and devices and how to troubleshoot them and their systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable, and willing to travel and work on-site as needed, and adjust to changing work environments and demands.
  • SAP and/or Forklift experiences is a plus


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)


WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours, depending on department needs, working out of Tallahassee, Florida
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
