Position Highlights:

Job Summary


The Lead Medical Assistant will function as an extension of the manager/supervisor to facilitate efficient and effective operation of the assigned area. The lead utilizes independent and interdependent judgement and is expected to serve as a resource to staff, physicians, and clinic leadership. Responsible for general oversight of the assigned group and in addition utilizes technical and customer services aptitudes for day-to-day patient services. The Lead will also perform all essential functions/duties of the Clinic Medical Assistant position. 


 


 Education and/or Experience



  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate’s degree or diploma preferred.

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.


Certification, Licensure, Registration



  • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or

  • National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or

  • National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association with one year of experience.


Work Schedule



  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm


Pay


The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 



  • $20.00 - $28.75 per hour
