Job Summary

• The lead MLT is accountable for performing all types of laboratory tests & procedures which also include phlebotomy.
• Responsible for documentation and accurate, timely reporting of laboratory results.
• Ensures smooth operation of the laboratory.
• The lead MLT maintains competence on all tests/instruments in their area(s) of responsibility.

Education and/or Experience

• Associates Degree in Medical Lab Technology, Chemistry, Biology or other related field with internship at an approved site.
• 1-2 years of experience is required.
• 3-5 years of experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society Clinical Sciences (ASCP) or equivocal agency required within 12 months of hire.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Thursday; 72 hours every 2 weeks
  • 9-hour shifts
  • 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Every 3rd weekend
  • Occasional holiday (Dependent on Clinic Schedule)

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $23.25 - $34.00 per hour
