Position Overview

At Exact Sciences, we hire world class talent to our global organization every day. The Lead University Relations Specialist plays a critical role in leading key projects on key initiatives for talent acquisition and our university relations program. This position ensures successful outcomes and communication between multiple stakeholders throughout the organization with the goal of constructing strategic partnerships that deliver department outcomes and attract top intern talent for Exact Sciences.

This position is based in Madison, WI.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead university relations programs, managed related projects and activities.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define strategy and requirements to define and execute across priority projects.
  • Develop and drive project schedules, budgets, risk management, quality, and lead the team to success.
  • Prepare and analyze metrics and reports to highlight project insights and insights to project deliverables.
  • Manage and support all aspects of our internship program, including recruiting, onboarding, professional development activities and overall experience.
  • Partner with TA team and stakeholders to plan internship experience logistics and promote program internally to managers.
  • Set timelines for requesting interns, assists with developing strategic approach to career fairs.
  • Prepare and execute University Relations activities and events (i.e., career fairs, virtual info sessions, recruiting events).
  • Develop strategic relationships with HBCUs to benefit internship and talent pipelines and serve as a liaison between academic institutions and internal Exact Sciences leadership.
  • Manage communication with interns to provide program details and opportunities for connection.
  • Onboard hiring managers with interns to ensure they understand their role and responsibility in the program with ongoing support during the program.  
  • Support University Relations requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with approved vendors to purchase branded merchandise for career fair giveaways, intern gifts, hosted panels and other events while staying on budget.
  • Provide strong project management skills and ability to see multiple projects through from concept to completion.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Strong public speaking skills and willingness to present to internal leadership and university faculty, staff and students about Exact Sciences' internship experience.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusive mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to travel 20% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a field as outlined in the essential duties; or a High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in human resources, human resources consulting, and/or inclusion focused roles or a field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a priority-driven organization, with a specific track record of working effectively with all levels of management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to be a well-rounded professional with strong strategy, planning, and initiative/program deployment capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in talent acquisition/campus recruitment or military recruitment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects across business areas with strong impact.
  • PMI Project Management Certification.

Salary Range:

$109,000.00 - $174,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
