Job Title: Lead Video Editor
Location: Waunakee, WI (On-Site Preferred, Remote Considered for the Right Candidate)

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Video Editor to join our team. This role is pivotal in crafting compelling short-form content for social media platforms, with a primary focus on Instagram Reels, as well as TikTok and YouTube. The ideal candidate will have a knack for storytelling, an understanding of nutrition basics, and the ability to oversee and mentor junior video editors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Editing: Edit engaging short-form content primarily for Instagram Reels, and also for TikTok and YouTube. Use pre-recorded group Zoom sessions to create compelling narratives without scripts.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and plan content, with potential growth into broader content creation roles.
- Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of 2 junior video editors. Review their work, provide constructive feedback, and ensure timely project completion.
- Storytelling: Isolate key moments from raw content and craft them into interesting and impactful stories that resonate with our audience.
- Color Correction: Apply basic color correction to raw footage shot on Canon R5 and Ronin 4D cameras.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your storytelling skills.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred, but open to other editing software.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of color correction and experience working with raw footage.
- Nutrition Knowledge: A decent understanding of nutrition basics is beneficial for creating relevant content.
- Leadership: Experience in managing a team, providing feedback, and ensuring high-quality output.
- Mindset: An owner’s mindset with a focus on adding value, working autonomously, and contributing to the big picture while handling detailed work.
Location and Work Hours:
- On-Site Preferred: Located in Waunakee, WI, to facilitate easier oversight of junior employees and team collaboration. Remote work will be considered for the right candidate.
- Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Central Time.
