Job Description

Essential Job Duties:

•Observe rules governed privileged communications and confidential information.

•Verifying no conflict of interest with plaintiff(s) or co-defendants.

•Electronic filing of court documents

•Responsible for calendaring and monitoring court deadlines.

•Manage, organize and maintain documents in electronic document management system.

•Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing and sending bills, as well as resolving issues along with managing attorney.

•Draft, proofread and mail correspondence and legal documents.

•Performs basic office functions, such as answering, screening and directing phone calls; managing mail; and printing or copying documents.

•Answer incoming calls, assisting callers with issues or forwarding to attorney.

•Manage case files, ensuring files are properly maintained, collected and organized.

•Adhere to firm standards of courtesy and professionalism, as well as LegalShield service standard requirements.

•Mandatory in office working at least one day per week.

Secondary Job Duties:

•Entry of information in LegalShield system/and practice management software.

•Other tasks/projects as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

•High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.

•2+ years of clerical/administrative experience, legal experience preferred.

•Accurate and proficient typing skills (50+wpm). Take the typing test at www.typingtest.com. Submit results.

•Positive/upbeat and helpful temperament.

•Excellent customer service skills/focus with demonstrated composure, ownership & professionalism.

•Analytical skills with the ability to provide appropriate information.

•Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and with good grammar (both verbal & written).

•Must be comfortable interacting with members, clients and attorneys on a daily basis.

•Self-motivated (requiring minimal supervision) with strong multitasking, prioritization and organization skills.

•Ability to learn and apply new information in a fast paced, changing environment.

•Ability to follow instructions and work within policies/procedures to meet/exceed deadlines.

•Intermediate skill set in Microsoft Office.

•Must be reliable with consistent attendance and punctuality.

•Must live in North Texas area.

This is a remote/hybrid position.
