Job Description
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
  • The following list sets forth the principal duties required for the job. This list is not intended to limit assignment of work or the degree of supervision under all operating conditions. Employee may perform miscellaneous, related, and incidental work in addition to that specifically outlined below.
  • Perform all ground person/helper duties associated with utility work.
  • Must be willing to work with either overhead or underground crews, assisting with all duties associated with either group.
  • Assist in the installation and repair of underground facilities such as cable, transformers, potheads, and pedestals.
  • Assist in the installation pole hardware and such auxiliary equipment as transformers, lightning arresters, switches, fuses, and insulators, using hand tools and mechanical devices.
  • Attend and participate in training as assigned.
  • Set and remove barricades, flags, and signs; direct pedestrian and motor traffic.
  • Inspect, maintain, organize, and stock company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Must be willing to work outside, in all weather conditions.
  • Perform similar or less skilled work as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: No experience required; however, line work experience is preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Class D Drivers License
Additional Requirements:
  • Must meet residency requirements.
  • Must have the ability to deal with employees, customers and the general public in a courteous and proper manner.
  • A basic physical abilities assessment is required for this position.
  • 40 Hours per week with overtime and travel as required.
  • Must be available for overtime callout including weekends and holidays.
  • Must reside within 35-mile radius or 40 roadway miles of 5524 East 15th St, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112.

Compensation Grade:
U070-950
Compensation Range:
$32.11-32.11 USD
