Load Lane Specialist

Management of loading of customer vehicles in to bi-level auto racks for the delivery of damaged free product to off-loading destinations sites following the guidelines set by the Association of American Railroads and Hyundai GLOVIS transportation and vehicle handling procedures.

Department: Vehicle Processing Center (VPC)

Reports to: Load Lane Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Works with other Department Supervisors to ensure proper handling procedures for movement of vehicles on the yard.
• Works in accordance of AAR standards, monitors and confirms inspection of all loaded vehicles on rail cars.
• Facilitates training to new employees regarding proper handling procedures, and safe work practices.
• Schedules manpower based on projected workloads for optimizing efficiency.
• Trouble shoots as needed and provides countermeasures to all issues that need to be addressed.
• Provides guidance and technical support to team members on an ongoing basis.
• Performs preshift meetings before every shift.
• Completes all training requirements with documentation on circle of skills provided.
• Reports to management all pertinent issues of concern for support and communication lines.
• Maintain attendance and payroll documentation daily while following company policies and protocols.
• Support and perform inspections as assigned with documentation tracking.
• Update daily reports and communicate to all shifts as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior leadership experience preferred, Automotive experience preferred, Ability to interpret instructions and apply as instructed.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, Good driving record, Good interpersonal skills.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Load Lane Specialist is $55,700-$61,600. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
