Citizens Community Bank is looking for a skilled & analytical Commercial Loan Evaluator. This position will review large loans, new commercial loans, classified and delinquent loans. The objectives of the position is to review and assess the credit quality of the portfolio, to determine acceptability of underwriting standards and policies, to ensure that approvals are based on accurate information, and to ensure that key documentation is adequate. The process included reviewing loan files for current and complete financial information, insurance, note and collateral documentation and assessing the level of repayment risk within the credit. May also prepare various reports as assigned related to the division commercial portfolio. This individual must be a self-motivator and focused, have a technical capacity, be thorough, communicate proficiently and hold confidentiality in the highest regard.

Duties and Responsibilities
:
  • Review and analyze documentation checking off items as they are received to ensure files are completed.
  • Verify information needed such as title commitments, UCC filings, environmental reports, appraisals, flood insurance and look over the correct tax documentation for underwriting; must review for accuracy.
  • Review loan documents; ensure proper vesting, legal descriptions, dates, signatures, etc.
  • Track and follow up on maintenance of files including but not limited to: rate and payment changes, automatic payment, online banking, insurance, UCC renewals, financial statements and tax returns, corporate verification of status, inspections, etc.
  • Make sure loan files are monitor correctly and suggest changes to be made and make sure they are accurate.
  • Confirm all loans booked have the proper approvals and signatures in the loan file.
  • Prepare monthly report from your findings to Senior Management.
  • May maintain and balance commercial loan holdover accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Review the underwriting of tax returns and financial statements as presented in the loan presentation.

Additional Duties may include:
  • Assist commercial loan officer with new loan applicants, to include interviewing clients when needed. Gathering initial documentation necessary to make loan decision, i.e. credit bureau reports, OFAC, lien searches, tax notices, order appraisals, title commitments, etc. Prepare documents for commercial loans packets, to include SBA, RBS and other government programs and packages for closings, making sure necessary documents are in order and have been reviewed to be complete and accurate.
  • Assist lender with loan closings and be prepared to close loans.
  • Assist lender with follow up loan closing items such as tracking collateral and working to manage the customers portfolio.
  • Keep current on loan programs, lending regulations, procedures and documentation and be a knowledgeable resource to lenders.
  • Assist Customer/Lender with file maintenance, portfolio maintenance, credits/debits to all accounts/loans as needed.
  • Assist Lender with reports, scheduling, arranging events and lunches with customers and for bank meetings.
  • Assist commercial loan officer with marketing strategies, to include customer calling program, cross selling other Citizens Community Bank products and referring as appropriate. Monitor production numbers for lending team on all calls, referrals, and sales for annual performance process.
  • Assist with loan operations functions such as importing documents, scanning and document retention.
  • Process payments, construction loan draws and other transactions for our customers and carry out basic accounting functions.
  • Work with the lenders to clear technical and collateral exceptions.

  • Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB.

  • Complete required bank and OnCourse training courses within assigned time frame(s).

About You:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate diploma or equivalent.
  • Banking experience in commercial banking/commercial loan servicing/commercial documentation.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to maintain quality customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service experience.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and other basic office equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
