Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, and assisted living facilities.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, such as sonography and catheterization.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients who require assistance.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families.
- Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Experience in infant care, home care, or assisted living is preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Cerner.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and devices, including Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
- Ability to perform tasks such as ostomy care and wound dressing changes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to adapt to different work environments and handle high-stress situations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
