Description:

General Summary:

Assists the Logistics Manager, by supervising the daily operations in transportation and the warehouse. Including logistics for truck routes, staff assignments and safety to maximize revenue to support Goodwill’s mission and minimize environmental impact of material sent to landfills.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Assists with recruiting, interview tours and training employees.
  • Supervise the daily workflow of warehouse operations.
  • Provides coaching and documents in accordance with company policy.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises daily operations, routine maintenance, inventory levels and safety compliance.
  • Guides transportation and warehouse staff in meeting operational goals in sorting, salvaging and transporting donated goods to appropriate areas and or locations.
  • Completes data entry of aftermarket salvage and warehouse inventory.
  • Analyze bill of lading inventories to coordinates efficient truck runs.
  • Communicates daily truck runs, product movement with drivers and stores.
  • Optimize resources including property, equipment, finances and staff.
  • Coordinates aftermarket product logistics, including scheduling and billing.
  • Completes assigned monthly reporting and safety compliance.
  • Assists with logistics and communication with community donation partnerships.
  • Counts and enters company-wide inventory and sends out a weekly inventory report.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel and Word)

Travel Required: Ability to travel up to 10%.

Required education and/or work experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Prior supervisory & warehouse experience preferred.
