Position Summary:
We are actively hiring for our closed door Long Term Care Pharmacy. We are looking for experienced technicians to fills prescriptions at a high volume pharmacy. You must possess the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills, be patient focused, as well as aptitude in using computers is essential.
The shift is from 3p - 11p - Monday- Friday
Position Responsibilities:
- Data entry: new patient profiles and medication updates.
- Strong communication and solid time management skills
- Answering phone and triaging calls from doctors, patients. caregivers, etc.
- Process new and refill prescription orders in a timely manner, follow up essential.
- Assist with prior authorization claims.
- Must be a team player
- Prepare medication orders for pharmacist check.
- Complying with established procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Understanding confidentiality with respect to patient/ client care; complying with all federal and state laws applicable to the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI); and following HIPAA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment, work areas, and shelves.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience in a pharmacy.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer care required.
- Positive and effective communication with customers, co-workers, & the medical community; required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working as part of a team.
