About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Machinist Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Perform common Machinist Supervisor duties. I can perform machining work that requires the use of special adaptation or extension of the use of conventional machine tools or the use of non-conventional machine tools to affect the fabrication, repair or modification of parts, fixtures, and assemblies used in the maintenance of repair mission. I provide general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies to subordinates. I ensure that subordinates are adequately informed of their responsibilities and are properly trained. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
