The maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring proper operation of and maintenance for production machinery and facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
MUST obey all safety rules including LOTO, PPE requirements, and fall protectionCommitment to work extended hours if needed, willing to answer after hour calls, and help establish a world class maintenance team.
Troubleshoot and repair distribution/production machinery safely and quickly as possible when failures occur.
Quickly gain knowledge in conveyor controls, forklift controls, and other equipment to aid in troubleshooting abilities.
Provides support for all departments in the distribution center to help keep each area productiveDevelops and maintains complete P.M. schedule on all equipmentEscorts, monitors, and aids outside contractors to ensure all safety and building rules are maintained.
Provides training and instruction to facilities techniciansPrepared to work different or more hours as needed to keep areas operating efficiently and cover other shifts if necessary.
Performs building repairs and other duties as required such as light plumbing, painting, and running occasional maintenance related errands.
Standing for long periods of timeFrequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of tools and boxesAble to work in various temperature conditionsOperation of motorized and manual pallet jack
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires education equivalent to four years of high school
A minimum of 3 years of warehouse maintenance experience required.
