Job Description

We are looking for a Manager of Guest Services who can exemplify outstanding service, leadership and management in a fun and dynamic environment. This position is responsible for managing Guest Services areas related to the call center and school entrance operations in alignment with our goal to provide outstanding service and to welcome guests, students, and members. Our team is about 40 friendly and energetic staff and this position shares supervisory responsibilities with other management team members in Guest Services.

Job Class: Full Time
Hiring Range: $65K-$70K
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, weekends and some evenings required
Direct Reports: 2 direct reports with a shared managerial support for 40 staff

Essential Duties

  • Lead guest sales and service operations including call center as well as operations for the school entrance.
  • Has a strategic focus on sales and service of Museum offerings; participates in pricing strategy conversations and implementation of pricing strategies and analysis.
  • Evaluates products and experiences to ensure they meets Museum standards and objectives.
  • Works closely with colleagues across the Museum to ensure that the overall guest and member experience meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Provides timely feedback and ongoing communications through GEMS (performance
    management) that reflect employee performance, growth opportunities, and successes.
  • Leads staff to ensure that guests’ and member’s expectations are met, or exceeded.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years’ experience as a supervisor in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment required.
  • Ability to work weekends and evening shifts as scheduled required.
  • Intermediate proficiency with web enabled applications required.

  • Demonstrated operational Guest Services experience and Guest Services skills including strong verbal and written communication, as well as service recovery skills.
