Job Description

Primary purpose:

This position will be responsible for leading the Planning and Scheduling team, providing maintenance coordination and planning across Tallgrass Natural Gas, Crude Oil, and CO2 assets. This team provides the planning, scheduling, and coordinating of all facility preventative and planned maintenance tasks. This role will also work closely with Operations Control, Operational Technology, Reliability, Commercial, Field Operations, Engineering and Project Management to ensure outages and maintenance activities are planned, coordinated, and communicated to ensure the work is performed safely and minimizes the commercial impacts.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of planner schedulers and maintenance coordinators to successfully support all Tallgrass Assets, maintaining well organized team that continuously improves availability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Reliability engineering to continuously improve maintenance strategies.
  • Mentor the team members to foster continuous growth and capabilities within the group.
  • Develop resource planning to accommodate growth and service capabilities within the team.
  • Coordinate with Operations Technology (OT) and Operations departments to create, manage, and execute preventative and planned maintenance work and activities.
  • Work closely with OCC personnel, scheduling, commercial, field operations, engineering and projects to ensure outages and maintenance activities are planned, coordinated, and communicated to ensure the work is performed safely and minimizes the commercial impacts.
  • Oversee and maintain processes to create and manage Work Orders (WO), Job Plans, Critical Spares lists, and the Master Equipment List (MEL).
  • Develop and track KPI’s pertinent to maintenance planning, resource utilization, and asset performance.
  • Lead development of training for the team and pertinent maintenance personnel to ensure consistency of maintenance and tracking across assets.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for improvement of related technologies and associated processes.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, affected teams, end users, and OT Systems.
  • Periodically travel to operating sites to obtain insight regarding current processes and develop continuous improvement of maintenance planning through participation in IMs, PMs, etc.
  • Responsible for the leading development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with procurement to develop processes that align maintenance strategies with procurement processes.
  • Establish and maintain equipment parts catalog, history, storeroom, and minimum/max levels.
  • Ensure processes are developed and followed to inform appropriate teams of upcoming maintenance activities.
  • Receive and process daily schedule and late work reports from the previous day.
  • Maintain the integrity of the PM program, i.e., checklists, trigger, frequency, compliance, and schedules using Maximo.
  • Compile weekly compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with central shops/project schedule
  • Identify recurring maintenance problems.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field) preferred. Extensive planning
  • 8+ years of CMMS/Maximo maintenance planning experience may be substituted for degree

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning and coordination for pipeline transmission assets.
  • Experience successfully coordinating complex maintenance activities involving multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Direct work experience developing, implementing, planning, and scheduling preventative and planned maintenance workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills and background developing written procedures and documentation related to maintenance planning.
  • Development of KPI’s and metrics to measure and optimize performance maintenance planning and asset reliability.
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide team members to foster employee growth and productivity.
  • High proficiency level in Microsoft Office Suite applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with IBM Maximo system and functionality.
  • Good record of safe work practices.
  • Knowledge of company policies and practices, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
  • Ability to complete work assignments with minimal supervision in an acceptable time frame.
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support multiple teams/users.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • May be required to achieve and maintain certifications, as required, to perform job duties.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Working Conditions:

  • Overnight travel 10-25% may be required.
  • Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including a credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Compensation

The salary for this role is $140,000-$174,000/yr.
