Job Description

Scope of Job:

Assists Manufactured Housing Loan Originator with pipeline management for residential loans by processing originated loans to meet credit and documentation requirements; maintaining records of loans in process; providing status reports to borrowers, originators, dealers and realtors; ensuring compliance with departmental standards, bank policies and regulatory guidelines. This position primarily focuses on working with chattel manufactured housing loans. Position requires phone contact as well as use of fax and computer/email to obtain loan conditions working with prospects/borrowers, manufactured housing dealers, Realtors and direct sellers.

Must be highly organized, enjoy multi-tasking, and have the ability to change priorities quickly as time-sensitive needs arise. Ability to meet crucial deadlines is expected. This position is very deadline driven, must have great attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.

Incumbent will also be responsible for a variety of assigned functions and projects which may vary from time to time, including but not limited to working withdrawn files and answering customer servicing questions.


Primary Duties:

Receive pre-approved loan application package and review initial underwriting for completeness and accuracy. Review and verify conditions which need to be met for closing have been identified and added into loan originator system (LOS). Remove any pre-canned conditions not required. Add loan to Manufactured Housing (MH) tracker. Send offer package to AVP Manufactured Housing Originator and create checklist for internal electronic file software.

Work pipeline with originator. Maintain records regarding loan documentation and status on Loan Origination Software and DocVelocity to provide managers and department staff ability to monitor status of every loan in pipeline/process. Run weekly pipeline report from AVP Manufactured Housing Originator. Attend and actively participate in meetings with AVP Manufactured Housing Originator regarding pipeline.

Coordinate, arrange and request documents and verifications required to satisfy and clear conditions following defined timeframes. Request valuations as needed. Work with AVP Manufactured Housing Originator to clear conditions. Responsible for compliance with bank policies and procedures along with all state and federal laws and regulations relevant to residential loans.

Coordinate loan closing with Manufactured Housing Closer/Funder. Obtain tax and insurance information, update in Point. Verify adequacy of insurance to BankWest requirements. Enhance customer relationships by providing ongoing assistance during the loan process and after loans are closed. Assist AVP Manufactured Housing Originator with calls to customers and third parties as requested. At post-closing, assist customers with calls and requests.

Actively participate in ongoing efforts to continually improve customer service for internal and external customers.

Assist in developing and implementing mortgage production practices and procedures which will bring consistency, maximize efficiency and prevent compliance errors in the Mortgage Division. Assist with correction of errors found in compliance, audit or quality control/loan reviews. Assist in creating and maintaining departmental SOPs as requested by Supervisor.


Secondary Duties:

Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.

Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.

Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.

Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.

Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent.


Experience:

2 years' experience in related field.


Knowledge and Special Skills:

Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.

Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.

Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.

Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.

Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.

Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.

Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
