Summary:
Schedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes priorities for specific customer orders.
• Revises schedule according to established priorities, availability/capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
• Distributes jobs to departments, denoting number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
• Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work.Provides information on changes in processing methods received from document control.
• Compiles reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines/equipment to advise production-planning personnel of production delays.
• Maintains inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting where hazardous materials may be present. Security investigations may be conducted to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or work areas.

Must be computer literate, Word, Excel, Outlook and MRP/inventory control systems
