Please review the following job description:

Support Producers, Marketing Account Executives, Marketing Specialists, Client Account Executives and other teammates in the preparation for and execution of marketing and placement of insurance coverages with carriers on both new and renewal business. Support Producers in sales activities, as requested. Build and grow relationships with clients, carrier representatives, and teammates. Become knowledgeable of applicable coverages, carrier guidelines, alternative funding arrangements, underwriting, and legislative changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Assist the Producer and account teams collecting prospect and client information.
2. Obtain loss runs, preparing loss summaries, and preparing loss history analyses, stratifications, and loss forecasters as requested.
3. Research claims issues as related to loss runs/loss summaries.
4. Obtain, perform analyses of, and/or review experience mod worksheet calculations and relevant information from other analytical and evaluative tools and sources.
5. Quote/rate various online programs for multiple insurance carriers.
6. Support the submission process, including to but not limited to assisting in the development of submissions, creating transmittal communications for sending submissions to carriers.
7. Follow up with carriers to confirm receipt of submissions and assist with obtaining and providing additional information requested by carriers.
8. Compare coverages, terms, and conditions of quotes.
9. Prepare proposals, finance agreements, other presentations, and/or certificates of coverage as requested
10. Become proficient with the usage and ability to learn all relevant insurance company rating programs.
11. Creating documents/spreadsheets to assist in marketing of accounts.
12. Document account/computer files per procedures and requirements as requested.
13. Understand NFIP guidelines and requests for policy issuance.
14. Process binder request forms and supporting documentation as requested.
15. Attend and meet with carrier representatives, as requested.
16. Become knowledgeable about insurance carrier products and programs.
17. Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
18. Assist Producers in sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals and participating in prospect meetings as requested.
19. Understand and utilize the client management system(s) and other relevant technology platforms.
20. Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients and acquire expertise in legislative changes.
21. Other projects, job duties, and responsibilities as requested by Producers, account teams, and/or management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent education
2. Relevant insurance industry education, training, or experience
3. Appropriate insurance license(s)
4. Basic insurance knowledge with a strong desire to learn and achieve insurance designations such as Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), INS, Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), (Certified Risk Manager) CRM, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)) or equivalent
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and McGriff teammates
6. Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information and successfully interact with clients, carriers, and teammates
7. Discretion and analytical skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness, etc
8. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
9. Ability to travel overnight

Preferred Qualifications:
1. College degree or equivalent education and/or experience
2. Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license(s)
3. Significant prior insurance industry experience and knowledge of carriers and markets
