About the Company: Quiltfolk publishes an ad-free, quarterly magazine in the arts and crafts industry. We also offer virtual education programs and develop lifestyle products and other goods/services for our readers.

The Position:The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing and managing email marketing campaigns, developing and implementing social media strategies, and providing general support to the marketing team. This role requires both creativity and organizational skills to enhance our brand presence and engage with our community across digital platforms.

Role and Responsibilities

Email Marketing:

  • Develop, schedule, and manage email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo (or similar email platforms)
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather content for newsletters, promotional campaigns, and updates
  • Track and report on email marketing metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions
  • Optimize email campaigns based on performance data and industry best practices

Social Media Strategy:

  • Assist in creating and implementing social media strategies to align with business goals
  • Curate, schedule, and post content across various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a timely and friendly manner
  • Monitor social media analytics, report performance, and suggest improvements
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create visual assets for social media posts

General Marketing Support:

  • Assist with coordinating marketing campaigns, including virtual events, promotions, and product launches
  • Manage the marketing content calendar to ensure alignment with company goals and timelines
  • Perform basic website updates as needed (blog posts, event pages, etc.)
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for engagement

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficient in email marketing platforms (Klaviyo preferred), Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Dropbox
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends
  • Experience in data analysis for email and social media marketing
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with web research and market analysis

Reports to: Director of Marketing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
