Job Description
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler- Shipping 2nd Shift. This role is based at our Sherman, TX facility on the 2nd shift, and will support the Shipping/Receiving department. The regularly scheduled hours are from 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $21.20 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:
- Collecting order notes to fulfill deliveries
- Picking out ordered items from storage shelves using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
- Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in boxes or on pallets
- Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
- Loading delivery vehicles
- Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
- Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
- You will receive training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).
- You will perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
- Performing general warehouse duties as necessary
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- At least six (6) months of forklift experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a fifty-mile radius of the Sherman, TX facility will be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Stand up forklift experience
- Strong product knowledge.
Skills:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, or bending with or without accommodation.
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and close attention to detail
- Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
- Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
- Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
