Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze forecasted demand across products in multiple warehouse locations to develop and execute weekly supply plans for those warehouses. These plans should align with Vivint’s financial goals and Supply Chain KPIs.
  • Fully understand relationship between the supply plan, lead time, safety stock, and high bay utilization to build a successful plan to support sales, while achieving inventory turns targets.
  • Partner with Field Planning team to ensure timely and accurate supply, understanding of critical needs, and improvements in stocking RDCs for technician supply needs.
  • Partner with the Buyer/Planners on historical and future changes in demand, through sales promotions, price adjustments, and business strategy shifts to ensure RDC strategy aligns.
  • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to management, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to do scenario planning with many complex and ambiguous variables, in order to drive to the optimal supply plan with the least risk
  • Supplier negotiations on off-the-shelf items to meet cost saving targets.
  • Manage supplier return to vendor process
  • Participate with Strategic Sourcing to measure supplier performance
  • Support and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Rebalance inventory when supply shortages occur
  • Help lead supplier scorecard evaluation and coach suppliers as needed.

Education/Experience preferred:

  • Education: BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience: 5 combined years of purchasing and/or material management experience preferred
  • SAP experience desirable
  • In depth knowledge of Supply Chain processes and best practices
  • Strong communication, negotiating, and presentation skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
