Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in the natural gas industry, with a focus on mechanical engineering for pipelines and pipeline related facilities.
- PE license preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to lead projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Birmingham, AL, and Metairie, LA, as required.
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new natural gas pipelines and facilities (such as compressor station, pump station, and meter stations with associated auxiliary equipment), ensuring all projects align with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage refurbishment, replacement, and modification projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance system, operation, efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
- Conduct maintenance assessments and operations to ensure the reliability and performance of mechanical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and contractors, to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accurate communication and documentation of engineering activities.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to provide innovative solutions and advice to clients.
