Bridgewater Pediatrics is seeking a Part-Time MEDICAL BILLER/CERTIFIED CODER: 3 days/week

Primary Duties: Responsible for coding review, charge entry, claim posting and submission, and follow up with insurance companies.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically and prepare select appeals on paper.
• Answer questions from patients, clinical and administrative staff, and insurance companies.
• Follow up on work queues.
• Process payments from insurance companies.
• Participate in educational activities and attend staff meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Education/Skills:

• Education: High School Diploma; Certified coder.
• Experience with ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Knowledge of medical billing practices.
• Knowledge of business office procedures.
• Knowledge of medical coding and third-party operating procedures and practices.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Experience in customer service and ability to communicate with patients and insurance companies in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families and employees.
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
