Medical Billing Specialist- Skilled Nursing

Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Pay: $17 to $22 per hour depending on experience.

Horizon Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center is seeking for Full time Medical Biller to join our growing and dynamic team. Horizon is a 196 bed licensed skilled nursing facility (SNF) located in the heart of Glendale, AZ. We are minutes away from award winning hospitals which we partner with to service patient care needs of many kinds. Our facility has rapidly grown in the past year and we are very excited about the continued growth to come. Our staff of highly trained professionals understands that patient-centered care is our top priority. We are here to provide both our patients and staff with an experience like no other! Experience in working with various insurance companies preferred. Job responsibilities include:

• Responsible for daily census entry, insurance benefit verification, private collection correspondence, Medicaid authorizations and billing
• Be able to research prior payments received and identify if they were applied correctly, resolve outstanding balances
• Communicate effectively with insurance case managers to obtain authorizations, notify of changes
• Process private overpayments/refunds
• Support business office in all collection responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of Healthcare Billing experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Point Click Care experience is a plus
• Fingerprint clearance card

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per year
