Covelo Group is currently hiring for full-time positions with a reputable blood center in Providence, RI!

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of testing and quality control for donor blood samples. Your work will involve handling routine testing in large batches, performing component qualifications, and making critical decisions on the disposition of components based on testing and QC outcomes.

As a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) you will:

• Label and process blood components from donors.
• Conduct and document routine quality control procedures.
• Participate in proficiency testing and annual competency assessments.
• Identify and address equipment malfunctions.
• Prepare samples for external testing.

Qualifications for this Medical Laboratory Technician role include:

• MLT (Associate's in Medical Laboratory Technician), MT (Bachelor's in Medical Technology), or equivalent ASCP certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to adhere to strict procedures.
