In the highly competitive food distribution industry, pricing and promotions are key drivers of success. As the Pricing and Promotions (Merchandise Planning) Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies and promotional plans that maximize profitability and market share. You will lead the Merchandise Planning team and work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Sales, and Finance, to ensure our pricing and promotional activities align with our business objectives and customer needs. This role is crucial in not only influencing our current performance but also shaping our long-term strategy and success.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop Pricing Strategies: Create and implement pricing models and strategies to meet business goals, considering market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
· Plan and Execute Promotions: Work with Vendors, Account Managers and Customers to design, manage and support promotional campaigns, including allowances, cross-promotion, and special offers, to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
· Market and Competitor Analysis: Monitor market conditions, competitor pricing, and consumer demand to adjust pricing strategies as needed.
· Collaborate with Teams: Work with Account Managers, Buyers and Finance teams to align pricing and promotional activities with overall business objectives.
· Analyze Data: Partner with Business Intelligence Team to analyze historical data and current trends to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and promotional activities, and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.
· Report Performance: Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on key metrics such a pricing and promotional performance, including recommendations for improvements.
· Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks related to product availability and demand fluctuations.
