Job Description

Regional Remediation Growth Leaders (GLs) work, as necessary, with clients, with AECOM’s community of regional growth leaders primarily across the remediation consulting business focused on a particular geography, and with the Department Manager (DM) as a primary partner to expand department growth and support national pursuits. RGLs engage the Remediation Practice Growth Lead (PGL), Remediation Practice Lead (PL), along with Environmental Business Line (EBL) Growth Team for larger growth efforts as outlined in Department objectives. The DGL role includes >50% external client-facing focus.

This role primarily supports regional growth and technical delivery in key projects/programs, with a particular focus on supporting AECOM’s Global PFAS strategic initiatives. Department focused time is approximately 50–70%. The remaining 30–50% of time is directed toward growth and technical opportunities for the region/department with a concentrated effort on strategic growth initiatives.

A Growth Leader:
+ Leads development of PFAS growth for assigned Departments and supports AECOM’s National/Global PFAS Business Line strategy. This includes identification of new clients, opportunities in PFAS market, and leading/supporting high-level technical delivery.

+ Confers with the EBL Growth Team, the Department Manager, and other key leadership to define growth objectives and develop detailed tactical actions plans to achieve department growth targets. These action plans describe how the DGL will identify and generate new work opportunities — focused on both deepening and expanding current relationships with existing clients, as well as with new clients.

+ Capitalizes on own expertise and existing professional network to maintain and establish new key account relationships and ensure they are managed for growth under AECOM’s client account management (CAM) program.

+ Identifies and expands opportunities with existing AECOM clients into department footprint - focusing on working with AECOM CAMs and identifying other opportunities in the department geographic footprint or with department specific technical specialties.

+ Serves as an active CAM for key accounts and maintains a deep understanding of how the client operates at all levels across the business.

+ Builds, maintains, and facilitates trusting relationships with key contacts across the depth and breadth of the client’s organization and supports account team members in developing their contacts.

+ Collaborates with other CAMs/Account Sponsors to assist in account development and planning.

+ Mentors, supports, and drives growth with the members of the account team.

+ Enhances coordination, collaboration, and diversification of the account team with the aim of identifying and developing the next tier of high performers/high potential seller-doers and CAMs and technical resources.

+ Leads account team facilitation and collaboration with AECOM’s Technical Practice Network (TPN) and Technical Practice Groups (TPGs).

+ Creates solution plans to differentiate AECOM from competitors, including business solutions (compelling offers), management solutions (how we effectively deliver), and technical solutions (how we innovate to address problems).

+ Anticipates opportunities and client needs, and proactively proposes innovative solutions to address challenges.

+ Collaborates with other Business Lines to promote cross-selling and insourcing of services.

+ Supports lessons learned and customer feedback debriefings.

+ Leads client listening efforts to understand client needs and business objectives.

+ Engages TPN/TPGs for preparation of best proposals/best teams for project delivery to clients as needed.

+ Facilitates (as a liaison) to bring best technical talent to department pursuits and promote collaboration with other departments (exporting expertise of staff) to other departments for cross-business line/cross-profit line (XBL/XPL), the remediation construction program (REM CON), and the remediation oil, gas, chemical, and industrial program (REM OGCI) to build technical teams.

+ Represents AECOM at national conferences, identify opportunities for technical talent to share at conferences, and, where appropriate, present our remediation innovation and capabilities.

+ Advances AECOM’s profile as a thought leader through active participation in regional, national, and international organizations focused on remediation.

+ Supports responses to applicable research funding requests from Federal, State, or private entities to include SERDP/ESTCP, and AFCEC or EXWC BAAs. With support from AECOM technical practitioners, focus on areas where AECOM can complement academic or commercial partners in delivering meaningful research to address PFAS fate and transport, treatment, and risk related challenges.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

Preferred Requirements:
+ 20+ years of relevant experience with technical environmental work and growth/business development

+ Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation in Minnesota will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $145,000 – $180,000.
