THE JOB:

The Nightlife Host will provide superior guest service to existing and potential guests at property night clubs and entertainment venues while generating revenue through effective networking and relationship building. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, procedures, and practices.

THE DAY TO DAY:

  • Market company-related entertainment and night club events to potential guests, including upcoming venue openings and changes; distribute venue information to all assigned hotel and business departments in advance of all events and promotions
  • Determine when to approve table comps by evaluating night club performance, competition, etc.
  • Adhere to predetermined minimum sales requirements; regularly monitor table, ticket and guest list reservations; ensure all VIP table reservations are entered into the system with complete information, such as guest’s full name, cell number, and email address
  • Maintain full knowledge of operating hours, menu selections, pricing, and venue availability; collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations employees and management to anticipate guest needs prior to and during operating hours
  • Determine bi-weekly sales goals by evaluating factors affecting business levels, including but not limited to hotel occupancy, weather, competition, saturation of talent at other venues in town, special events, conventions etc.
  • Work closely with all venue hosts and management to develop and implement work practices and routines to increase sales and generate venue revenue
  • Represent the venues in a positive and professional manner both on and off property
  • Communicate effectively to direct supervisor thru daily and weekly recaps with regard to workload, schedule, marketing strategy, customer development, social media, events, requirements
  • Attend applicable meetings, pre-shifts, check-ins, outreach, promotions and mandated shifts; provide input in team meetings to develop new strategies for sales and applicable operations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years in nightlife experience
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
