Job Description

This is a 40/ hour position.

The HR & Payroll Coordinator Assistant coordinates efforts with facility management to manage hiring and recruiting.

  • Interviews and screens qualified candidates. Recommends qualified candidates for Manager’s review. Arranges interview schedules with other staff members as appropriate.
  • Conducts all pre-employment processes including reference checks, background checks, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • With Administrator approval, makes job offer.
  • Sets up orientation program for new hires and coordinates with appropriate personnel.
  • Ensures benefits and company policies are thoroughly reviewed.
  • Follows up to ensure employee receives appropriate orientation and schedules additional training if needed.
  • The HR & Payroll Coordinator Assistant helps coordinate planning and holding staff appreciation events and functions.
  • Works with Supervisor to evaluate new hire’s performance prior to 90th work day as well as yearly employee evaluations.
  • Plans, organizes, develops and implements all payroll functions in accordance with current company policies as well as federal, state and local regulations and procedures, in an accurate, neat and organized manner.

The Nursing Staff Scheduler is responsible for scheduling staffing including RN and LPN nurses as well as CNA’s for multiple busy nursing units for a 24 hour skilled nursing facility. The Nursing Staff Scheduler is responsible for maintaining relationships with nursing staff to promote an optimal working environment and contribute to staff retention. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to prioritize multiple tasks while remaining organized. The Nursing Staff Scheduler will be responsible for providing up to date attendance detail for employees, maintaining a master schedule, forwarding open position information to the HR Coordinator/ Admin for recruitment purposes, maintaining an accurate daily schedule with all edits and updates entered, and strictly managing overtime and bonus costs.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • One year nursing staff scheduling experience in long term care
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timely completion- multitasking is a must
  • Ability to respond quickly to emails between departments
  • Strong persuasion skills
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and perform under stress
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Flexibility with work schedule- ability to meet at times with all staff is a must!

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum one year nursing staff scheduling experience in a nursing facility
  • CNA Certification- preferred
  • Medical Records experience
  • Software experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
