Job Description

Malkin Appliances, a 100 year old major appliance dealer, providing to household appliances to homes and businesses small and large. Our mission is to provide the perfect appliance option to meet our residential and commercial clients' needs and expectations. As Office Assistant, you will play a key role in our continued growth and success. Come work with us in our Baldwin, NY showroom, where you will: Manage, track, and improve processes involving customer and vendor transactions.

  • Answer calls to the showroom and assist in customer service.
  • Call clients to set up home appointments.
  • Problem solve any challenges dealing with warranties, vendor deliveries or customer projects as they arise.
  • Data entry for sales for monthly reports.
  • Track invoices for commercial clients.

About You

You will have the capability for, and the interest in scheduling and customer challenges.

You will assist in leading our store to reach revenue targets through greeting customers in the showroom, follow-ups, and ultimately, customer satisfaction.

In your background, you will have demonstrated:

  • Effective phone/in-person communication with vendors, customers, co-workers and management.
  • Resourcefulness in problem-solving in a customer-centric environment.
  • Ability to learn and understand basic appliance functions and installation.
  • Be extremely detail-oriented and have good organizational skills.
  • Create a process that works for you meet the monthly deadlines for reporting and data entry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
