Clemson University's Brook T. Smith LaunchPad is looking for an Operations Manager (Floater - Evenings) to fulfill the following duties:
ABOUT | Brook T. Smith LaunchPad
The Brook T. Smith LaunchPad is a first-of-its-kind Clemson program designed to help students, faculty, staff, and alumni succeed in constructing maintainable and expandable for-profit, nonprofit and social entrepreneurial ventures. By providing a range of support programs and resources, including workspace, network and educational opportunities, mentoring and training, the Accelerator will support entrepreneurship -from ideation to execution.
Located in Downtown Clemson, the 8,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Launchpad will support interdisciplinary collaboration and bring on-campus organizations, entrepreneurial alumni and funding sources together, while cultivating entrepreneurial thinking, ethical leadership skills and inventive research that will equip students to drive innovation and impact global businesses.
30% - Essential - Management and network with visitors to include students, faculty, staff, alumni, visiting scholars, resident startups, visitors, and VIPs. This will include 1:1 consultations, group consultations, presentations, and any other applicable knowledge transfers. Directs and supervises assistants and interns.
30% - Essential - Create, develop and implement formal entrepreneurial training through seminars, summer camps, boot camps, competitions, social events, and study tours. In collaboration with the Director, implement changes and improvements based on analysis and assessment against participation and enrollment and strategy benchmarks.
15% - Essential - Serve as liaison and assist University Administrators, Development Officers, Donors, College Administrators, Advisory Boards, Students, Student Start-Ups, Student Associations, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Community Members, Government Officials, Volunteers, and Regional, State, National and International Bodies.
15% - Essential - Coordinate and manage rooms to include, AV equipment, computers, supplies, furniture, other assets, university software platforms (HR, Finance), proprietary software platforms (Launchpad Membership, Startup Tree, CRM), audio content creation, video content creation, social media, and marketing/PR collaterals. Plan, assist, and attend Launchpad events.
10% - Essential - Nurture and support the Launchpad organization and other team members to the utmost, while concurrently taking responsibility for optimizing one's own professional growth. Other duties as assigned by Director.
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - 3+ Years - Relevant program experience.
Education - Master's Degree
Work Experience - 5+ years

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Work of Others - Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.
Day Work - Required Periodically
Standard Hrs: 37.5 (Sun-Thurs / 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM); Expected Salary ($ 54,974.00 - $ 71,575.00)
Expected Salary Range: Band: 07 ($ 56,210.00 - $ 71,575.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
