A Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, full-time Non CDL Yard Jockey in Southington, CT. Our Yard Jockeys may be asked to maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work.

Start Time: 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $23.05 per hour. Base rate will increase to $27.75 after 12 months of employment

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Moving trailers around the terminal to various locations
• Maneuvering the truck into loading and or unloading positions
• Visually inspecting trailers and or trucks before and after moving each
• Connecting tractors to trailers
• Assisting with the unloading and loading of freight as needed
• Maintaining documentation of each trailer moved throughout the assigned shift

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

• Previous Jockey or Switcher experience required
• Ability to follow safety rules and regulations a must
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English

• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
