Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will join Willow Rising a nonprofit organization in Grand Island, Nebraska, dedicated to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Four counties are supported through Willow Rising, they are Hall, Hamilton, Howard, and Merrick counties. A primary objective of this role will be to learn about the agency through an orientation program and training around domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The other primary objective will be to create and design out Outreach and Prevention Education program. This program will allow us to effectively teach out community about gender-based violence, alternatives to gender-based violence and give children tools to advocate for themselves
