We are looking to add experienced, mechanically inclined people to set up, operate and troubleshoot filling and packaging machines and other equipment associated with food/goods packaging.

How you will do it:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot filling and packaging machines and other equipment associated with the packaging of foods/goods.
- Perform operator adjustments on machines settings and parts to fit our customer’s product requirements and speeds
- Operate a forklift to crate and uncrate large wooden boxes
- Be able to do basic electrical wiring of automated packaging machines if needed
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues over the phone if applicable
- Monitor the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment
- Be a problem solver in the field to help get the job done
- Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
- Communicate accurately and effectively with customers and fellow team members
- Must be willing to travel domestically for up to 5 days at a time
- Travel to companies facilities to train machine operators
- Keep the work area clean
What skills/experience you need:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in food/goods packaging as an operator or technician is required
- Knowledge of how to use tools, equipment, materials, and techniques common to packaging machines, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Good knowledge of technical parts, machines, and electrical schematics.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to train and evaluate machine operators and technicians
- Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting methodologies.
Important Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing, climbing, bending, and lifting during work hours, especially during installation or troubleshooting of machines
- Ability to safely lift machine components and raw materials with and without assistance (can be up to 50+ lbs. or combined weight of more)
- Hands and fingers with dexterity to work with product, equipment parts and controls and ability to listen for malfunctions, alarms, and other production-related sounds.
- Must be able to work with varying degrees of noise indoors and in environmentally variable conditions
